NAIL LAMINATED COLUMNS FOR POST FRAME AND POLE BARN BUILDINGS
POWER-LAM® columns are manufactured with SYP #1 lumber, making them a high quality, high strength nail laminated post frame building column. The first six feet of embedded end is protected with .60 CCA treatments and is warranted for 50 years against decay and insect attack. (Other lengths of treatment are available).
The laminated plies are fastened together from both sides with a THICKCOAT galvanized ring shank nail delivering a superior corrosion resistance and laminating performance.
The POWER-LAM® Advantage
- Larger width posts are harder to penetrate with treatment leaving them preserved only around the outer edges. This leaves the post open to attacks from insects and the elements.

- Longer and larger post sizes can have extended lead times
- The top 24″ of the column is left un-fastened, allowing quick and easy field notching of columns.
- “b” sides of columns are planed to create a flat and consistent column depth

Permanent Foundation Options
The Perma-Column system eliminates the need for treated wood in the ground. These 10,000 psi precast columns combine the economy of post frame with the durability of concrete.
The Sturdi-Wall system allows post frame construction on traditional concrete foundations. Install these engineered anchor brackets with a masonry drill bit and concrete anchors.
The Sturdi-Wall Plus system is used on traditional concrete foundations when ultimate strength is required. No anchors are necessary to “wet set” these engineered anchor brackets.
